WorldSongs Concert: Sunday, May 12, 4:00pm

This is a ticketed event, and all friends and families will need to purchase tickets in advance on the website, or at the door.  Find the “Tickets and Concerts” tab to purchase for this concert.

  • When: Sunday, May 12th, Call Time: 1:30 - drop off in Main auditorium  Performance 4:00pm

  • Where: Sheslow Auditorium at Drake University  (2507 University Ave, Des Moines, IA 50311). 

  • Wear: FORMAL Uniform:  HYC polo shirt (from Land’s End), black dress pants, black dress shoes, black socks, and an optional belt. 

After WorldSongs has concluded there are no more rehearsals for the season. More information to come about how to get registered for next season!

SummerSongs! (July 29-Aug. 2)

We would love to have all of our Cantilena singers join us this Summer at SummerSongs camp from July 29-August 2!

  • If your singer has completed 3rd grade during the 2023-2024 school year, please register them for SummerTunes which meets every day of camp week from 9:00-11:30.

  • If your singer has completed 4th grade through 8th grade in the 2023-2024 school year, they can be registered for SummerSongs camp, which meets from 8:15-5:30 every day of camp week.

Both groups will have a performance on Friday, August 2nd in the evening.

End of Year Assessments May 13-May 31

These will consist of a range check-in, tonal memory, and melodic and rhythmic sight-reading. All times are a 15min slot. These are required for all returning singers.

Uniform Check

Have your singer try on their full formal uniform to make sure they are ready to go for WorldSongs on May 12th. Below is the information to order a maroon polo if you are in need of one.

Please be sure to purchase your child's uniform as soon as possible. Detailed information on both the casual and formal uniforms for Canto and Cantilena, including instructions on how to purchase a new uniform polo, is available using the link below.

Ordering information for polo shirt:

2. Click on the button “Shop by School”

3. Under the heading “Find My School,” click “Enter School Number.”

4. Enter the School number: 900092362 and click “Find School”

5. Please follow all additional prompts as directed.
